Stacey Erin Sands is a full lyric soprano known as an active performer in the Cincinnati area. Stacey is a founding member of Quarter Quartet and is a member of the Vocal Arts Ensemble of Cincinnati under the direction of Donald Nally. Stacey has sung for five seasons with the Cincinnati Opera as a member of the core chorus.


Stacey is an active recitalist and will spend the summer at Songfest at Pepperdine University. Stacey is a lover of contemporary song and she recently sang the premiere of “More” by composer Douglas Pew.


Stacey’s operatic performing credits include the Mother in Amahl and Night Visitors with the Clermont Philharmonic Orchestra, Testo in Il Combattimento di Tancredi e Clorinda with the College-Conservatory of Music , Mimi from Puccini’s La Boheme in the CCM’s Opera scenes program, Donna Donna in P.D.Q Bach’s The Abduction of Figaro , 1st Lady in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte and Juno in Offenbach’s Orpheus in the Underworld all at the DePauw University Opera Theatre. Other partial roles/scenes performed include Suzel in Mascangi’s L’amico Fritz, Countess in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro, and Fiordiligi in Mozart’s Cosi Fan Tutte.


Stacey recently was named as an alternate for a Fulbright Grant to pursue further studies in Italy. Stacey recieved her Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music where she studied with Barbara Paver. She graduated magna cum laude from DePauw University with a B. M. in Vocal Performance. She studied with Caroline Smith and Stanley Irwin.


Stacey is originally from Florence, Kentucky. In her spare time she enjoys training and participating in triathlons.
